Proche du point culminant de l’appellation, les 25 ha du vignoble s’étendent sur le plateau calcaire et sur les coteaux, à quelques encablures de la cité médiévale.
Vinification parcellaire en cuves inox thermorégulées et en barriques de 500 l. Élevage en barriques de différentes tailles et en amphores durant 12 à 15 mois. Des barriques à la chauffe légère sont sélectionnées afin de préserver le fruit et ne pas apporter d’excès de boisage.

The 2022 Boutisse is terrific. Clean mineral notes lend energy and shape to this vibrant, pulsating Saint-Émilion. Graphite, cured meats, lavender, spice and chocolate are all finely delineated. This is a terrific example of Saint-Émilion from the Milhade family.

Another Saint-Emilion that's shockingly good, the 2022 Château Boutisse offers a vivid purple hue as well as a medium to full-bodied, pure, layered style that carries both red and black fruits, some spring flower and chalky mineral nuances, fine tannins, good acidity, and a great finish. It has a beautiful mix of richness and freshness.

Sweet and lifted, a sharp tang instantly gives the livliness, almost sour cherry with some bite and tang, before the tannins come into play and frame the weight and depth. Still quite narrow and tense despite the quite open and lively start. Fresh and fun, a nice combination of ripe fruit, high acidity, chalky tannins and salty finish. Love potential. Harvest 12 - 30 September. Ageing 16 months; 30% new barrel (500L), 65% one and two wine, 5% amphora. 3% Carmenere completes the blend. In organic conversion. Derenoncourt consultants. Initially, the aroma appears reserved, only revealing rich scents of mulberry, blueberry, and plum candy after a lengthy swirling of the glass. In the notably concentrated vintage like 2022, Château Boutisse demonstrates a structure akin to reinforced concrete, yet miraculously, its texture remains impeccably balanced. Eagerly anticipates the captivating performance after bottling.
