Bouquet délicat et fruité, aux arômes de myrtille, d’épices, suivis de notes de thé noir.
Un vin de corps moyen, doté de tanins charnus, bien intégrés, friand, de bonne densité, présentant une finale savoureuse et agréable.

Au sud-est de la croupe graveleuse de Grand Poujeaux, ce terroir bénéficie d'un sous-sol remarquablement drainé et d'une superbe exposition aux chauds rayons du soleil d'été. Le sol est composé à 80% de graves garonnaises et à 20% d'argile calcaire.
En cuves inox thermorégulées et ciment revêtu d'époxy, macération d'environ un mois, élevage de 12 à 14 mois en fûts de chêne dont 40% de bois neuf.

Aromatic on the nose - rose petals. This has a juicy, bright core, that gentle succulence where your mouth instantly waters from the acidity but you also get a mouthful of summer berry fruit at the same time. I like this a lot, the fruit feels well worked and delivered with poise and energy and the chalky and salty tannins provide just the right grip on the palate. It's not the most expansive right now but feels classy with hints of glamour and I love the mentholated, liquorice touch at the end. Drinking window 2025 - 2033. Georgina Hindle.

Chasse-Spleen révèle des nuances de myrtilles, d’épices ainsi que des notes de thé noir. Le vin est en forme grâce à des tannins qui assurent bien les arrières et qui sont bien intégrés. Un vin friand, de bonne densité, que l’on pourra déjà apprécier dans sa jeunesse. 2025-2038.

A strong effort, the 2021 Chasse-Spleen exhibits aromas of sweet berries and plums mingled with pipe tobacco, loamy soil, rose petals and pencil shavings. Medium to full-bodied, supple and seamless, it's lively and refined, with ripe tannins and a penetrating, saline finish. It's a blend of 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot and 9% Petit Verdot, and only 55% of the estate's production went into the grand vin. William Kelley
