    Que de profondeur et de complexité dans ce bouquet ! Il brille de par sa fraîcheur et son intensité fruitée. En bouche le vin est compact, crémeux et très élégant. Ses tannins sont puissants et sereins dans leur manière de se révéler. L’expression aromatique est éclatante et marque l’ensemble du palais, jusqu’en finale. Un vin d’une rare précision et d’une grande finesse. Je pense qu’il marquera l’histoire de Gazin et qu’on parlera de lui dans quelques décennies encore. 2025-2055 97-99/100

    This is really fantastic with so much intensity and focus. Firm, linear tannins frame the wine beautifully. Polished and fine. It’s full-bodied, yet tight and posed. Complex flavors of blackberry, black olive, mushroom and bark. Persistent finish. Best of the trilogy?

    Dark purple colour with violet hue and black core. Rich nose with distinct fruit, ripe blackberries, blackcurrant jam, sweet elderberries, wild strawberries, mocha and dark chocolate, hints of vanilla and mild spices in the background. With some oxygen a discreet touch of violets appears in the background. On the palate rich with freshness and great elegance, the aroma of the nose is repeated on the palate. Very elegant, persistent and charming with great depth and length.

    I love this, extremely classic Gazin, which has depth and pep, and a jaunty feel to the black fruits. The freshness keeps the core of this wine firm from beginning to end, as do the chewy tannins. This is not an exuberant vintage but at this particular estate it suits the personality because it is always fairly old school and classic. For the first time no Cabernet Franc in the blend, just Cabernet Sauvignon. A yield of 35hl/ha. No added sulphur during fermentation. Tasted twice, there are plenty of tannins here but it is highly successful.

Château Gazin

Château Gazin, ein ehemaliger Besitz des Johanniter-Ordens von Jerusalem wurde 1918 von Louis Soualle, dem Urgrossvater der heutigen Besitzer erworben. Auf einer Fläche von 26 ha gedeihen hier Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon und Cabernet Franc auf lehmhaltigen Kiesböden des Pomerol-Plateaus und lassen wunderschöne Rotweine entstehen.
